The bucktail jig are still a good choice?
The bucktail jig are still a good choice?
I exchanged with some fishermen resembling the lures used for different species. We point all of them, spoons, jigs, soft lures and so. Let say that the subject of discussion start with the new legislation on the use of natural baits here in the Province of Quebec and more provinces and states.
Shortly after this chat, I made the sorting in what was the top choice of my buddies according to their targeted species. There is a lure thatcame back 'efficient' for all species on which our discussion stopped. The ‘’bucktail’’ and its variants are still popular for amateur and professionals.
Whether it is for bass, walleye, salmonid or pike the bucktail is such efficiency, that all good fisherman have at least a few it in their ‘’tool box’’. But why this type of lure is so effective? If you have not tried this kind of jig or seen swimming a bucktail, you have to remedy, because the secret is there. Watch this video and observe the effect that hairs give to the lure, look like a swimmer.
This lure also gives you the opportunity to vary your presentations by adding soft lures, earthworms, or spinner bait. The jig heads, weights, colors the shapes are so varied that you could deal with only one lure in your tackle box, ‘’the bucktail’’.
Good fishing!
